WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS

INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL

Greetings from the Interfraternity Council at the University of Kansas,

The University of Kansas has many excellent traditions that aid in creating a wonderful college experience. One of these outstanding traditions at the University of Kansas is Sorority and Fraternity Life. The fraternity life experience is built on four pillars: scholarship, leadership, service, and friendship. These pillars guide our community, creating lifelong memories, friendships, and opportunities for growth.

The main goal at KU is to receive a world-class education. Every year, fraternity men surpass the University’s average GPA and graduation rates. (The average GPA of our fraternity men is higher than that of all male students at KU and our new members consistently outperform the average freshman GPA) Through educational opportunities and assistance programs within our communities, we are giving tools to get the most out of the college experience.

Fraternity life at KU provides countless leadership opportunities—whether in your chapter, on campus, or in the community. A majority of our alumni have gone on to hold positions at the university and beyond, using experiences and skills they developed in fraternities to succeed in the world.

Given the educational and leadership opportunities that the fraternity community presents for its members, they are granted the chance to develop the skills necessary for success in their future endeavors.

Joining a fraternity is a decision that shapes you for life, helping you build lasting friendships while developing the skills needed for success. With 17 chapters under the Interfraternity Council, KU offers one of the largest fraternity communities in the country, filled with endless opportunities.

We hope you will consider becoming a part of this great KU tradition!

Fraternally,

The IFC Executive Board
