Sigma Nu at the University of Kansas has been recruiting outstanding high school seniors since 1884. Our chapter house was built in 1907 and served as the Governor' mansion until 1912, and was bought by Sigma Nu Fraternity in 1921. Three cadets at Virginia Military Institute formed the "Legion of Honor", which soon became Sigma Nu Fraternity, in efforts to curb the physically abusive and hazing system at VMI during the time. Founded on the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth, Sigma Nu fosters the personal growth of each man's mind, heart, and character while perpetuating lifelong friendships and commitment to the Fraternity.
