interested in joining Fraternity Life at the University of Kansas?
The University of Kansas’ (KU) Interfraternity Council (IFC) is hosting IFC Experience Day, a program which provides an opportunity for students to create a connection to the Sorority & Fraternity Life (SFL) community, specifically the IFC community prior to attending KU. This preview of the IFC community is designed to provide valuable information and experiences to potential members as they start thinking about what they would like their college experience to look like and if they would like to join an IFC fraternity.
Participants who sign up will be able to engage with current members, learn about the 17 IFC chapters as well as get further information about the various recruitment processes associated with those fraternities. Further recruitment will be left up to each individual chapter after this event. This opportunity is perfect for students committing to come to KU, students who are still deciding, or students currently at KU who want to know how to get connected to fraternities. Currently, this is the only opportunity for students to see and learn about all of our 17 IFC chapters and how to join them.

TIME: EVENT & LOCATION:
9:30 - 10 am Check-in at the Kansas Union (Park in the Mississippi Street Parking Garage)
10 - 10:30 am Opening presentation to Families & Students
10:30 - 11 am Parent Informational session (concurrent with Chapter tabling)
10:30 - 11:30 am Chapter Tabling
11:30 - 12 pm Closing & Lunch
12 - 2 pm Open-house Tours for participating Chapters
WHAT TO EXPECT
Meet the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life Staff and The IFC Executive Board
Learn about the greater SFL and IFC Community and the opportunities from joining
Meet and mingle with chapter leadership and members from all 17 of the IFC fraternities
There will be information tailored to both family members and students
WHO CAN ATTEND
Interested high school juniors and seniors, any new transfer students and current KU students can attend the event
Participants are allowed up to two additional guests to attend the event with them
COST
There is a $15 registration fee assessed per student attendee for Fall 2023
Students are allowed up to two additional guests at no cost (parents, family, etc.).
Lunch will also be provided to all attendees (included in registration cost)
Student attendees will receive a t-shirt and other materials to guide them through the day
